The download version of Darkroom Booth 2 is a highly efficient and intuitive-to-use photo booth software that enables nearly limitless creative possibilities in regard to how a booth performs. Customizable options range from the ability to select and set the look and behavior of the photo booth to modifying different templates or backdrops for use. Installation is guided using a series of easily understood dialog boxes, with no need to utilize outside software or programs for updating or modifying how a booth functions. Events and settings can be managed on one screen and automatic detection for both cameras and printers alleviates much of the hassle when setting up a booth. Most digital cameras are supported, including Canon and Nikon DSLRs as well as webcams, and support is available for all types of printers. Additionally, integrated social media sharing allows for clients to export imagery via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

Customizable
The built-in VISUAL Editor allows for simplified customization of Photo Booth Screens and Prints without the need of additional photo editing programs.
Permits Photo Booth control using a wide range of interfaces, including touchscreens, physical buttons, mouse control, or any combination of these.
Settings are controlled via easy-to-navigate dialog boxes, with no need to understand intricate coding or programming in order to modify settings; settings can also be saved based on the event type, so switching between themes is simplified and does not affect other programmed templates or themes.
Intuitive and Efficient
Up to 16 individual images can be recorded per session in color, black and white, sepia, or your own coloring profile.
A dedicated template editor allows you to change and create printing templates quickly and easily without the need for additional photo editing programs. Templates can be customized to produce a variety of printing styles, ranging from a single 4 x 5" print to a strip with multiple images, logos, words, and graphics.
Green screen functionality and face detection capabilities enable seamless superimposing of nearly any background behind subjects.
The booth can be programmed to offer users the ability to re-take individual photos during a session or enable them to take photos when they are ready by pressing a button.
Videos can be incorporated into the booth experience, allowing a party host to welcome their guests or a bride and groom to send a message of thanks. These videos can range from advertisements, messages, or simply animations in between frames.
Quizzes and surveys can also be added to the booth to see how well the guests know the host or to gain feedback for marketing, and can be displayed before or after the photos are taken.
Sharing and Compatibility
Social media integration to support clients sharing photos via email, Facebook, and Twitter. Photos can be posted directly to Facebook pages, events, and timelines, and if working in a location without Internet access, posts will be queued up for when you're back online. Photos can also be shared to Dropbox accounts for storage, and recipes can be used to relay them to additional destinations.
Users can also share original pictures, photo strips, or unique photo layouts from the photo booth via MMS/SMS messaging. Free messaging is possible using the user's cell providers, and Twilio integration is also possible.
Both Android and iOS technologies are built-in to offer a range of support for using third party software and hardware.
Phidgets are supported to control a range of input and output functions using external devices, such as lights, fans, motors, coin acceptors, and more.
Compatible with any printer and wide range of digital cameras, including Canon and Nikon DSLRs and a variety of webcams.
Individual images and prints can be exported to CD, USB drive, or other media types for customers directly from the booth.
Sessions can be saved in multiple locations at once to help extend its functionality via third-party software and hardware.

    Not straightforward, hard to customize and get started.

    Headaches after headaches

    I setup this software with my MacBook Pro using Bootcamp. I called Darkroom Software and they said yes it would work. After installing everything, yes it indeed worked at my house. Everything was perfect... Until I took the whole setup to the wedding where this photobooth was to operate. I set up everything just like I did at home, and what do I get? Error. Darkroom Booth kept wanting to go online and connect to a server or whatever the error was. No matter what I did, I could not get the software to just open up and print to a printer connected through a USB cable. No matter how many times I kept telling the software that the printer was physically connected to the computer. Error error error. Software would not let me take a picture and print it. Error and closes out software. Utter junk. This software made me and my company look like fools, amateurs, so buy and use at your own risk.
