Never got tight enough

I wanted to use this mount with my Sony RX100 vi.  (1) The tightening ring is only ¼ inch thick yet my fingers are over ½ inch wide. Cramming one’s fingers into the tight space makes it difficult to get a good hold on the tightening ring.  (2) The tightening ring is made of plastic (this fooled me - it looks like metal in the photo) and, even with the rubber washer, takes a while to tighten the camera down. Even then, the camera readily loosens and moves when you touch it.  (3) You cannot mount the unit to an ordinary window pane because the camera is too close to the glass and the lens won’t extend out of the camera. ********************************************* Maybe this mount would work better on a smaller action cam.
