Mogan EAO Reviews

Great Replacement

We've struggled finding a replacement for our original earset microphones. After several attempts the Mogan Standard Omni Earset Microphone with TA4F Connector for Shure Transmitters (Beige) has done the trick. It has replaced the original with great sound quality. We have purchased 5 additional to make a complete swap out of the older mics. We are very happy with the product.

I've used several of these at different locations. I've found the clarity to be good and in fact, I prefer this model over several more expensive options from other manufacturers.

Doe Not Work With Sony UTX-B2 Wireless Transmitter

I believe the issue is how the phantom power is wired. The Sony transmitter applies power to the middle connector on the 3 connector jack. When you look at the screw-on plug in the ear-set itself of the Mogan device, it only has 2 connectors, so my guess is it expects power to be applied on the tip of the jack. I ended up buying the Sony equivalent of this (at a much higher cost and only available in black), but it works great.

We've used a few of these over the course of the years. For your money, you can't beat it. My only complaint would be the time it takes to form the set to your head. It takes some work... However, once it's good, it stays.

Are these ear perices bendable, if so how much can you bend them?
Asked by: Payton
The era piece is solid and will not bend. Te microphone "stem" has some play but should be bent very gently and not often.
