rotation180° Professional Backpack is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design I will only comment on the design, have not yet field tested. I like the function of this pack, I have never had a pack that is so easy to get to your gear simply by rotating the bottom half. The rotation works very smooth and a quick unzip to get your gear. Well made with all the water protection covers needed. After doing some adjustments to the suspension, the pack is very comfortable and distributes the weight well. You have room for camera equipment, clothes and food for a full day out. It would not be good for more than a couple of days, but I don't think it was designed for this anyways. Time will tell on how it will hold up, but my first impression is a A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm so glad I discovered this pack The brilliant rotating camera pouch makes it so easy to capture a photo while on a hiking adventure. I'm amazed at how often I used to pass on a photo op because it was too much of a hassle to take off the pack and try not to get dirt on everything. With the rotation180 professional backpack, accessing my camera for a quick shot is ridiculously simple and convenient. I also love the fact that there's a large compartment separate from the camera bag, so I don't have to comingle my food, drink, sunscreen, bug spray, etc., with my camera. The pack is light and rides very comfortably -- I recently packed it with more gear than I'd normally bring on a day hike, and there was no problem. This is really a standout product I'm thrilled to own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and well thought out backpack I use this for traveling or to bring my camera gear to on location photoshoots. The backpack is well laid out and holds a good amount of gear. It suits my needs perfectly for size and functionality. Comes with it's own raincovers and made of high quality material. Two things to be aware of: If you stuff the lower compartment with too much gear it is hard to swing in and out (but that's kind of a given). Also, if you are setting the bag down it can be a little bit weird to get in and out of the hip belt compartment (also a given. It's not bad, but if you are going to mostly setting the bag down to get gear in and out, this might not be the design for you).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! A Photo Backpack with Hydration I am a photo-hobbyist that hikes. This year I stepped up to DSLR and acquired a new dilemma. How to carry my new camera and lenses AND maintain the use of my 3 liter hydration bladder. After all, water is the most important thing on the trail. My search for the right back ended with this pack. It accepts my 3L hydration bladder, snug, but it fits. I have now done about 5 hikes with the pack and am pleased with the purchase. The Rotation 180 feature is AWESOME, just cannot say enough about how well it works. Tripod attaches quite nicely to the pack as well. I was recently photographing a waterfall area and never had to take the pack off to detach the tripod or gain access to its pockets, and the rotation pack makes for a great work surface. Squatting, kneeling, standing, all positions were ok. If you hike, and are looking for a Photo Hydration Pack, I highly recommend this pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I've wanted in a pack!!!! If you are serious about hiking and photography, buy this pack right now. I do a lot of long day hikes (8-25 miles/day) and I love bringing my camera equipment. I have a pentax K3 and usually bring a 4-5 lenses ranging from my DA*300, the DA*50-135, the fisheye 10-17 and then a few others (macro lens, lens baby lens). I've traditionally used a normal fairly large day pack since I found most camera packs were either 1) only set up to bring camera gear and/or 2) had bad suspension systems for carrying things. Along with my camera, I also need to bring water, lunch, rain gear, water filter and safety equipment. I also do 1-2 organized hiking trips/year and sometime need to bring enough clothes or 1-2 days without support. While I love my deuter pack, inevitably my camera gear would be at the bottom when I wanted a lens or if the weather changed quickly, my rain gear was at the bottom. Stopping to unpack everything to find the one thing I wanted was getting old! After looking at 6-7 packs, and on the recommendation of the the B & H reps, I bought this pack. In the last few weeks, I've taken it for 3-4 hikes here in the Sierra to test it out and have fallen in love. Additional gear goes on top, camera stuff in the bottom- simple! If I need to change lenses, I can do it while keeping the pack on my shoulders. If I need to get my lunch, I don't have to pull my camera gear out and expose it to the elements. My tripod fits great on the back and with it being centered, doesn't seem to be getting caught on branches as much as it did when I had it on the side of my normal daypack BTW- if you are wondering about the difference between this pack and the deluxe, the deluxe is the identical pack but comes with an additional removable top pocket, the tripod suspension kit and an additonal removable padded camera kit that can go on top. All of these things can be purchased separately from B&H. I did buy the additional top pocket and the lens switch case for extended trips I do

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated review Just got done on a summer road trip to Great Basin National Park, Arches, Canyonlands and the San Juan Mountains. We did hikes of up to 12 miles and up to 3K in elevation. This pack remains incredibly comfortable and the rotation 180 feature made changing lenses on the go very easy. Quality stood up to scrambling over sandstone rocks and scrambling over scree. Still highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pack, rotation pack 1 This truely is an excellent pack, very comfortable for hiking and I took it as carry on for my flight to Iceland. Well designed, sturdy, thoughtfully made. Also at 6'3 fits well, love the sliding adjustment of the chest strap. Weight distribution puts items close to the body so you don't have the shoulder straps pulling back. My Tamrac expedition 7 left me with sore shoulders and hip after a half day hike, this pack you really don't feel the weight. Initial impression was that it was smaller than anticipated, but that actually suites my needs better. Also for the price point a user guide, even accessory sale brochure should be included. The rain cover has velcro but could not see where they went until I removed the rotation section. Inquiry to MindShift had no response. However for me the point of the rotation pack is to quickly get your camera out and ready to shoot. My go to is Canon 5D III with either 24-70 or 16-35 lens on. If the pack was 1 deeper I could insert it lens down with plenty of room for at least 2 other lenses and other bits. So I now have multiple configurations for the rotation pack that I have to keep changing around: 1) Hiking - 5D with either mentioned lenses on and a tight squeeze for the other lens, plus filter pouch. If you are a wildlife photographer you can get camera and a telephoto lens in such as 100-400mm. 2) Shooting - If I have my camera in hand or on the tripod I can stick in plenty of other essential lenses, filters, cable releases in without issue. 3) Travel - as carry on I can remove lenses from the camera body and store 4 small lenses with hoods - 24-70, 16-35, 24mm Rokinon, 14mm Rokinon. Then I throw my 100-400 in the top section with fleece, snacks, accessories. Laptop with cover in the compartment plus my Gitzo traveler tripod on the back. All in all a great pack, 4.5 stars - just not ideal rotation pack size for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional camara backpack I took a long time deciding to pull the trigger on this bag but I am happy I did. I wanted a bag that I could hike comfortably with and be able to get at my canon 7d mark ii and canon 100-400 mark ii with the 1.4 teleconvertor. This bag can hold that combo in the belt bag. There is plenty of storage space and you can certainly change up how you pack stuff. I look forward to using this pack.
