The MPC Element from Akai Professional is a USB powered MIDI controller designed for beat-building, groove-making, and electronic music production on a computer. The brushed-aluminum controller features a grid of 16 backlit multi-color drum pads that are both pressure and velocity sensitive. The device provides classic MPC controls such as note repeat, swing, full level, 16 level, transport and tap tempo. The unit comes included with an Akai Essentials Software download.
