The DNR-120 Nodal Rail from Desmond is a 120mm upper rail that when used along with a panning head, a vertical rail, and a lower rail will make up a complete panoramic head.

Precision scales on the sides of the rail and the clamp allow for micro adjustments so that you can find your nodal point for each lens. This prevents you from having to make timely adjustments the next time you use that lens. A bull's eye bubble level on the rail ensures your camera is level on the horizontal and vertical planes.

    DNR-120 Nodal Rail (120mm) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy and precisely constructed I purchased the product as part of a panorama setup for a Nikon D800 and various Nikon AI-S prime lenses, including a 20mm, 50mm, and 28mm PC. The rail is long enough to adjust to the nodal point of each lens yet short enough not to be in the frame of the 20mm and the 28mm PC shifted all the way down. Support equipment is a Gitzo Mountaineer tripod with Arca-Swiss B1 head, a Really Right Stuff lever clamp, a Sunwayfoto DDH-03i panning clamp, and a camera L-plate from Really Right Stuff. The Desmond DNR-120 used in conjunction with the system above provides absolutely rock-solid support. All components are metal with the exception of the large bubble level, which is necessarily plastic. The scales are laser-etched and true. The clamp knob is nicely sized and is captive to prevent it from loosening and falling off. I am sure the nodal slide will be a part of my photo system for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The very piece I needed.. I purchased the DNR-120 Nodal Rail to use in conjunction with an L-bracket as a support/stabilizer for a large lens I was using on my Sony A7X camera. The Rail is solid and nicely constructed, the paint is even, the screw adjuster works smoothly.. and best of all using it took the weight off my camera lens mount and transferred it to the bracket/rail so I can use the camera setup without a tripod in the field. I can even hang the camera off a strap knowing that the lens won't pull heavily on the mount. This is a great little tool using it the way I do, or maybe the way it was intended too ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well I have a Canon 5D Mark III and I use an L bracket on it for the RRS ball head. I was concerned this rail might not fit, but it fits perfectly. Works fine for the Canon 24-105 L lense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the thing i was looking for.. very good build quality and the engraving of distance was nicely done. It seems it can hold a few pounds but try not to over load it for the safety of your equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well! No issues with clamping on my RRS PG-01 pano-gimbal head system. Length is good for lenses between 12mm to at least 60mm on a Sony A6300.
