Semi-Hard LCD Screen Protector for Alpha a7, a7R, or a7S Digital Camera is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 73.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is not for the Alpha 7II. I asked for an LCD protector for my Alpha 7II. When I first bought this product, the salesperson mistakenly gave me the one for the RX100. I took it home without looking, so I had to return and replace it the next day. It seems there is no specific LCD screen protector by Sony for the A7II - yet. The original A7 LCD has a wider indent on the left side of the screen. The LCD of the A7II has a wider indent on the right side, so if you use this screen protector on the A7II the way it should be used on the older A7, part of the screen is covered by the wider indent on the left side. (Compare the LCD screens of the A7 and the A7II, and you will see what I mean). I am still able to use the protector by rotating it so that the word SONY is inverted on the top of the screen. Not very elegant, but usable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upside down I preordered the A72 and at the time, an optical viewfinder was not yet available so I purchased this one. Works as advertised but to make it work on the A72, you'll need to install it upside down. This way the thicker margin is on the right of the screen (it is reverse on the A7). The Sony logo is now upside down but no big deal. I just want the screen protected and don't want the hassle of getting any bubbles out during installation. Installation was a breeze by the way. The protector looks great and looks seamless as if there is no protectir. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly, barely noticeable All I want out of an LCD screen cover is for it to cover/protect the screen, and not be in the way. This accomplishes both. It's only a few millimeters thick, so when applied (sticks with an adhesive, so make sure you line it up correctly the first time!) it's almost like it was intended to be there in the first place. Strange it's not included in the box with the A7/A7R/A7S though. At the cost of the A7S I purchased ($) you think Sony could throw in a $ screen cover. Oh wellIt works, as described, and you never even know its there. Five stars...bang up job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Have at a reasonable price. When i received my Sony A7r I was surprised that this $$camera did not have the advanced swivel feature on its LCD screen that my beloved ( and much cheaper ) Sony A 77 has. On the A77 you can conveniently swivel the LCD screen to face into the back of the camera to protect it when turning the camera off. Not so on the A7r, the screen is exposed pointing toward the user all the time. I have ruined the LCD on numerous Canons traveling through Asia in the past 15 years. Anyway you MUST protect the LCD screen on the new Sony's. It is the most vulnerable feature of the camera. This hard screen does the job. For $$it is a MUST to protect your $2,300 + investment in this most remarkable camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Get It It fits perfectly. It is very easy to orient properly and apply to the LCD. Viewing the LCD with the protector on is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than cut it yourself film I always put a screen saver of some type on the LCD screens of my cameras. The Sony A7 does not have a touch screen, but I do not use it on my cameras that do have one. I use the protector as a protector. I have not been able to find screen savers cut to size until now, so I have had to cut them myself. I have tried all types - with water and without, adhesive, electrostatic, etc., and it is difficult to get them on straight and avoid bubbles, and once you do get them on, some of them tend to peel at the edges and the corners. THIS screen saver is the right size out the box. The semi hard description refers to the stiff (but still a little flexible) frame surrounding the transparent protector, which makes it much easier to hold, position and install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good It's a nice thick protector. I like that there's only adhesive on the outer edges, so none ever touches the camera screen. I had to reposition it after the first install attempt, and the adhesive was instantly less tacky. I highly recommend the screen, but take extra caution to get it perfect the first time you put it on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low cost insurance for your LCD For the cost of this protector it's really invaluable. As other reviewers have pointed out it's more reflective than the naked screen but only in harsh lighting conditions will you notice this. A perfect solution is to simply look through the EVF or tilt the main LCD so the glare goes away. It's very easy to install - i put it on crooked the first time, peeled it off and re-applied. No problems, great product. Oh, and make sure you don't put it on so the Sony logo is upside down.
