This product is excellent, I am using it to power my Go Pro Hero 3+ Black and Silver Cameras, power is solid,easy attachment to camera,and easy to unhook,sturdy construction, I am buying more.

We have 2 GoPro Black's and use them as static cameras in a church auditorium. One for drums, and one for overhead top view of stage. The GoPro's use to be powered through the USB charger, but this coupled with the battery caused lots of heat issues, plus prolonged use may cause damage (apparently). So after tons of research, finally found the one and only (affordable) product that did away the battery altogether. There is still some heat left, but so much cooler than with the battery installed. I've yet to try, but I'm guessing we could use the 1080p 50fps setting (currently using 24fps), whilst recording on loop without thermal shutdown. However I'm happy confident enough now that heat generated is now cooled down for prolonged safe usage. We could use the skeleton frame as added reduction of heat insulation. Only thing is, it's hard to remove from the GoPro, but easily fixed by cutting off the tabs on the coupler.

Does this work for Hero 4 black/silver?
No it will not work with the GoPro4 cameras. The battery is different size and shape so it does not fit and will not work.
