I bought this to get some spare windscreen for my WH80XLR microphone without realising that it came with this. Due to the position of the windscreen, the microphone visibility is much more that i would desired.

This windscreen and clothing clip set is intended for use with the Shure WH series headsets, such as the WH10, WH20 and WH30 models. I am not sure which model microphone you have with your BLX series wireless system.

will this fit a shure mxl clip on mic?

I'm guessing you might either have one of two models, the MX150 or the Motiv MVL, and this is not compatible with either. For MX150 the recommended clip is RPM150TC (3-pack Multi-position Tie Clip) and recommended windscreen is the RPM150WS (package of 3). If you have a Motiv MVL, the recommended snap-in clip is the AMVL-CLIP (1pc), and the windscreen is the AMVL-WS (1pc).
