SeaLife SL963 Reviews

Great compact Flash.

The flash is very compact compared to it's previous version. Construction is good and doesn't feel cheap. The adjustment wheels are easy to operate underwater and give a good power for the price. The only downside is the adaptor pad to secure the wires for Non-sealife cameras, which is made of a simple Velcro sheet. Is is sometimes difficult to ajust to some models and the Velcro tends to stretch and become loose around the attachement screwing element. Could have been more durable elements. Other than that, it made great photos, flash is easy to use and synchronise with Canon Cameras. The pre-fitted difuser is a great addition. The semi-rigid box is good for keeping the equipment protected during travel. Tested down to 75ft in medium to bad visibility water.

question

Will this work with Canon D30 underwater camera? Am looking for handle with light/flash to use with Canon D30
Asked by: Christina G.
Yes, you could use the SeaLife Sea Dragon Digital Underwater Flash with the Canon D30. You will have to attach the included Universal Flash Link Adapter for Sea Dragon Digital Underwater Flash to the camera over the built-in flash.

question

Does this trigger by sensing the built-in flash of the camera inside the housing?
Asked by: Anonymous
You are correct it is triggered by the flash on the camera as long as you have the included fiber optic cable attached. Full directions are in the manual that comes with the flash.
