Really very good data transfer speed but it's depends upon your new generation PC or other devices after 2014. In older version of sata get only low transfer speed like write or read. This is 15 foot long cable. If USB 3.0 cable is more than 15 feet longer length it's required it's special adaptor to get ful performance and activation.

Not for some digital backs

Does not work with the Phase 1 IQ180 back. With my old generic cable, all is fine. Put this one in and the computer keeps dropping the connection. Don't know if it is just a bad cable or a bad design.

No, the Tether Tools TetherPro SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Male A to Male B Cable (15', High-Visibility Orange) would not be compatible with the Nikon D850. You would need to use a Micro-USB 3.0/3.1 cable like B&H # TECU5408.
