The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Interface and Recording Accessories Kit from B&H includes the Scarlett 2i2 USB interface, Cardioid Condenser Microphone, a pair of closed back headphones, a tripod mic stand with fixed boom arm, a gooseneck nylon pop filter, and XLR mic cable.

The Scarlett 2i2 interface features 2 channels of input and output and has dual front-panel combination XLR/TRS inputs for connecting both mic and instruments. It is capable of tracking in up to 96kHz/24-bit resolution and has Focusrite preamps designed for working with dynamic, ribbon, and condensers mics. It is housed in an aluminum unibody chassis designed for portability.

You can monitor playback from the Scarlett 2i2 through its front-panel headphone output and the included closed-back headphones. They are powered by 40mm drivers and have a single-sided 15-foot cable and cushioned headband. The gooseneck nylon pop filter can be used to reduce plosives in vocal performances and attaches to the included tripod mic stand. An XLR cable allows you to connect your microphone to the Scarlett 2i2.

    The Scarlett 2i2 from Focusrite is a 2 input, 2 output portable USB recording interface featuring two Focusrite preamps, housed in an anodized-aluminum unibody chassis that is solid enough to take on the road. The preamps offer transparent, low-noise, and low-distortion performance with sufficient available headroom for using moving-coil, condenser, or ribbon microphones. Phantom power is switchable.

    The front-panel Neutrik combo connectors can used to connect both line and instrument level signals as well as microphones. This makes it perfect for recording the output of a synthesizer or stage piano, while a flick of a switch caters for the output of an electric or acoustic guitar. Halo signal indicators help with maintaining correct levels. Red indicates a clipping signal, and with reduced gain the lights will momentarily turn amber before returning to green.

    A large monitor dial provides control over the output level being sent to monitor speakers, while a high-quality amplifier provides a clean yet loud signal to headphones. A direct monitor switch routes audio directly from the inputs to both the headphone and speaker outputs, allowing for zero-latency monitoring. The included Scarlett Plug-In suite provides EQ, compression, gate, and reverb processing, and is cross-platform compatible with all major DAWs.

    The Focusrite Red 2 and Red 3 Plug-In Suite (AAX, Audio Units, VST) delivers accurately modeled plug-ins based on the classic Focusrite Red 2 EQ and Red 3 Compressor hardware. The plug-ins allow for conveniently exploring the sound of the hardware originals from within Pro Tools (10 and above), along with other audio software. The software is a free download for new and current owners of the Scarlett 2i2.

    In addition to the Red 2 and Red 3 Plug-in Suite, the interface includes the Softube Time and Tone Pack. Modeled after the Drawmer 1973 FET Stereo compressor hardware, the Drawmer S73 Intelligent Master Processor is a plug-in that aids in balancing and shaping a mix. TSAR-1R Reverb adds space, depth, and width to a sound. Change settings with a single slider, from realistic three-dimensional rooms to dramatic and dreamlike halls. Tube Delay is an echo effect that can go from clean to rude by overdriving its three modeled tube stages - delivering everything from realistic room echoes, to rockabilly style slap back, to dub reggae echo. Saturation Knob is a modeled output distortion unit that adds grit and warmth – use it to fatten up bass lines, add some harmonics and shimmer to vocals, or simply destroy a drum loop.

    The HPC-A30 Closed-Back Studio Monitor Headphones from Polsen are designed for monitoring audio in studio, field, mobile, and DJ applications. They feature 50mm drivers that provide a frequency response of 18Hz to 22kHz for accurate reproduction of your audio.
