Rear View Safety RVS-4000 Overview

The RVS-4000 Smarty Box Car Camera System from Rear View Safety includes the Smarty BX4000 4-Channel Mobile DVR, a GPS antenna module, a 4GB SD memory card with PC Viewer Software, remote/panic switch, and all the cables you will need for installation.

The Smarty BX4000 DVR provides inputs for 4 cameras (interior facing, forward facing, wide angle forward, rear back-up; cameras available separately). It can continuously record video footages using the 'first in, first out' method. In the event of an accident or triggered alarm recording, the DVR flags the files so they do not get deleted when the SD card is full.

When the DVR is triggered by the 12V alarm, the recording begins up to 3 minutes prior to the trigger activation (time is adjustable). The recorded videos may later be viewed for surveillance purposes or as evidence in an investigation, providing concrete evidence for clarifying responsibility. The DVR provides an easy user interface to extract the data from the unit and transfer to a computer.

The PC Viewer Software makes it simple to view and save video files to a PC. With the click of your mouse, videos can be converted to AVI format for easy playback in almost any media player.

With up to 4 high resolution cameras installed, GPS antenna mode, infrared night vision (via camera), up to 3 minutes of pre-alarm recording, and SDHC flash storage (up to 32GB card supported), this car camera system is a practical solution. It offers both commercial and private vehicle operators an effective risk-reducing means to aid in the navigation process, decrease collateral damages associated with car accidents, deter crime inside the vehicle, monitor driving behaviors, and enhance the overall safety on the road.

Note:
The internal G-sensor must be calibrated after installation (only required for the first time after installation)
