it works ok and is sturdy. The ability to tilt to insert/adjust cables should be easier to use. use full tools are included, nice! For the sanus reputation, I expected somewhat better.

5 stars for the design, documentation, packaging, but I would give it 5+ stars for the online help. I was able to input my TV model number and distance I wanted the center/top/bottom of the TV from the floor, and the Sanus website gave me the exact specs on where to place the wall mount. Fabulous experience.

what tools are needed for install?

You will need a power drill and stud finder to install the included screws into studs or wall anchors.

It will fit if your TV offers a VESA Mounting of 200 x 200 to 600 x 400 mm.

it's described as 'low profile' but no indication as to how low the profile? How much depth does the mount add?

It is roughly 7/8 (just less than an inch) from the wall to the back of the TV when you use this mount. The mount all combined is less than an inch thick.
