The AMD FirePro RG220A Remote Graphics Card with active cooling system and 512MB of RAM is a host-side GPU for remoting graphics to thin client devices. The card outputs video using PCoIP protocol to provide a one-to-one host-client connection over a network, and also supports USB. It is designed to give users on remote client devices the benefits of a dedicated graphics card, including 2D and 3D graphics acceleration, while keeping the hardware in a centralized, easy to manage data center environment. The card can either use the host machine's operating system or be mapped to a virtual machine, exposing GPU acceleration directly to the operating system running in the guest machine.
The card features dual Ethernet ports that provide PCoIP connectivity; they allow daisy-chaining so that an additional network hub will not be required when installing multiple cards in one system for VM applications. In addition, a DMS-59 connector allows up to two DVI-D (digital only) devices to be connected directly to the card for local cloning of the remote output. It can drive up to two remote displays each at up to 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Local Cloning of Remote Output
A DMS-59 output on the card allows up to two DVI-D (digital only) displays to be connected at the host-end for local monitoring. A DMS-59 to dual DVI-D adapter is required to make the connection
Dual GPU Support
Two cards can be combined to drive up to a total of four client-side displays each at up to 1920 x 1200 resolution
Direct Mapping Support
The card can be mapped directly to a virtual machine (VM) that is running over a hypervisor with direct mapping support. Additionally, multiple cards can be used in one system enabling support of multiple VMs and multiple users while still maintaining full 2D and 3D and video acceleration
Less than 35W Power Consumption
The FirePro RG220A typically consumes less than 35W of power while in operation. In addition, the Wake on LAN (WOL) feature allows the card to be put to sleep or awoken remotely to minimize power draw when not in use
