Nanuk 935 Overview

Designed for professionals, photographers, and hobbyists, the olive 935 Wheeled Hard Utility Case from Nanuk is made from lightweight, crush, dust, and waterproof NK-7 polypropylene resin to protect and store delicate items like laptops, tablets, cameras and lenses, electronics, drones, sample kits, tools, handguns with spare magazines and hearing protection, medical equipment and first aid supplies, and equipment of all sorts. This version of the case comes with a cubed foam insert for its 20.5 x 11.3 x 7.5" interior space. The handle has two stop positions to accommodate users of different sizes with handle heights from ground of 32" at the low setting and 38" at the high setting.

Its gasketed lid is held fast with dual PowerClaw latches. This patented latch system uses compressive force to tightly clamp the case shut to a waterproof and dustproof IP67 rating, with an integrated slide lock that prevents the case from opening during transport or if dropped. For additional security, there are two 0.34" diameter padlock holes integrated into the case and lid. A molded-in bezel system allows the use of optional inserts that can be installed quickly and easily without the need to modify your case. Its built-in pressure relief valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed during air travel and allowing you to open it without having to break a tough pressurized seal.

Nanuk 935 Reviews

Great case with a caveat

When I went shopping for a case, my intention was to find one which was both durable and reliable. Nanuk and Pelican seem to be the same in many respects. But, for the following. Unlike Nanuk, the weather seal on Nanuk is not replaceable like Pelican. And most importantly for me, warranty related issues could be a problem. It seems that warranty repairs need to be sent to Canada. Not only can that be expensive and time consuming but having to deal with filling out customs declarations for a foreign Country can be complicated. For some that is not an issue. Nanuk is a quality product. For me it was, and I went with Pelican.

Earlier this year at my wife's urging I purchased a D850 followed by a couple of lenses; 200-500, 8-15 fisheye. Shortly thereafter I made the decision that I really needed additional storage space for my equipment as my Think Tank bag was just not enough anymore... I'd thought about a Pelican case, but through much research I discovered Nanuk Hard Cases out of Canada. I read/watched lots of reviews and decided upon a 935 wheeled case including the padded divider inserts, lid organizer as well as a shoulder strap. My bright yellow Nanuk case arrived in August and I promptly filled it completely... So now the dilemma of what to do with the additional equipment. Easy decision as B&H had another sale on Nanuk cases so I just purchased a second 935 case in October, but this one I decided should be a different color (olive) so I could better differentiate where items were... Thus far these cases have been amazing. They're sturdy, keep everything safe and I really love the grey divider material as it makes it so much easier to find things in a lighter (non black hole) environment. I've pretty much filled both cases although there is a bit of wiggle room remaining. Perhaps I need another lens.

Amazing for a pro on the go!

Used this for a recent music video shoot to transport my gear and it was amazing. I was able to fit a Sony A7RIII, and 28-75, 70-200, 18mm, 35mm, 50mm, a 5in monitor, shotgun mic, on camera led light, collapsible tripod, GoPro, and my 16in laptop and 11i iPad, chargers and extra batteries for all my gear. With space to spare! Very sturdy build and wheels rolled very smoothly and handles felt very secure. I haven't had the opportunity to fly with this yet - but I'm very excited.

Great Case, Awful Lid Organizer

The case is very well built and I feel confident that my gear is safe and protected when I travel with this. My main complaint is with the lid organizer. The zipper got stuck and broke. Really disappointed since I heard nothing but great things about this case and its accessories.

Great Product

Well made and more than I expected. The seal between the lid and body is tight. The latch/locks are secure and can't be accidentally opened. The divider system is better than expected.

Simply the best

This case, like all of my other Nanuk cases, is outstanding. When it comes to full protection and features I don't think there's a better product. I feel like the Nanuk product is superior to the Pelican product overall. And, as always, the service from B&H is outstanding.

One trip in, I love it

I've only taken this thing on one travel job, and I loved it. The clasps are secure, and the wheels are smooth.

Will a 17" laptop fit behind the lid organizer?

Will a 17" laptop fit behind the lid organizer?
Asked by: Angelica
While it depends on the size of the 17" laptop (gaming laptops for instance are significantly thicker and wider), it is neither recommended nor safe to store a laptop behind the lid organizer. More than likely, it will prevent the lid and/or lid organizer from sitting flush and closing as the manufacturer intended.

Will a Canon 1DX2 body with EF100-400L fitted stand up safely in this case, with a 16-35 and 85 and maybe some audio kit?
Asked by: Spike
The interior of the Nanuk 935 DSLR Camera Case with Wheels (Yellow) is 20.5 x 11.3 x 7.5" (52.1 x 28.7 x 19.1 cm). Your gear will fit in this case. It is always a good idea to payout your gear the way you want it in the case. Leave about a 1/2' between items. Then measure the outside rim leaving another 1/2" of space.

Hi. Will the TrekPak system fit into this case? I've read the 1510 does but the 1535 is too big. Can you confirm if it does, please? Thanks :)
Asked by: Renee
You are correct the, the 1510 should fit. The 1535 will not. But note these are made for specific cases. So, they will not fit perfect in the Nanuk 935 case.
