Elektron Analog Keys Overview

The Analog Keys 37-Key 4-Voice Analog Synthesizer from Elektron is a semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive 37-key 4-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer. It can function in a variety of modes including polyphonic, as 4 separate mono synths, or 4-note unison. Analog Keys is powered by dual analog oscillators, 2 sub-oscillators, and a noise generator. While its signal path is 100% analog, the synth has digital control, allowing you to store your sounds as presets for easy recall.

For altering, warping, and modulating your sounds, the Analog Keys features a 4-pole low-pass filter and 2-pole multi-mode filter per voice, each with an analog overdrive circuit. A variety of modulations options are provided to each voice via dual assignable LFOs and envelopes, AM cross-modulation, oscillator sync, and more. It also features Elektron's step sequencer that can control both the synth and FX sections.

Thanks to a variety of routing options, the Analog Keys can be integrated with other analog and digital equipment. It features both 5-pin DIN and USB MIDI connectivity in addition to CV Gate outputs. On the audio front, you can route the analog audio out from each voice or as a stereo signal.

Overbridge is a software extension that allows for the use of Elektron's analog hardware as a plug-in within a DAW. Design sounds on-screen using an intuitive and dedicated plug-in, or use the knobs and keys on the Analog instrument, or do both at the same time. Enjoy precise synchronization and automation. Use the strengths of the Elektron sequencer, and the software sequencer to get the best of both worlds.

A Voice for Every Situation
Voice allocation is fully customizable. The Analog Keys can be used as a polyphonic four-voice synthesizer, as four separate monophonic synthesizers, in a four-note unison mode with user-defined pitch spread between the voices, or anything in between
Dual Filter Force
The 4-pole low-pass ladder filter and 2-pole multi-mode filter of each voice are incredible tools when shaping sounds. To add more sonic crunch, the filter section also contains a fully analog overdrive circuit. The saturation can range from gentle warming to total destruction
FX Section
The effects section of the Analog Keys has been constructed from the ground up for strong analog tones. Use the Wideshift Chorus, Saturator Delay and Supervoid Reverb for situating sounds in acid cathedrals, the deepest abysses and head-spinning rotating rooms or for simply adding a final, subtle, audio finish
Step Sequencer
The Elektron step sequencer gives full control over synth and FX parameters. Create patterns and songs and use parameter locks to lock track parameters to specific values. It is even possible to change sounds per sequencer step for creating expressive patterns. The dedicated track sending CV/Gate signals is ideal for sequencing external analog instruments
Modulation
The internal architecture opens up for extensive modulation possibilities. Each synth voice offers two assignable LFOs and envelopes, AM cross-modulation, oscillator sync and dedicated LFOs for both pulse width modulation and vibrato
Storage Space
The +Drive is the secret behind the internal space of the Analog Keys. Thousands of patterns and kits can be stored and recalled. The over 4000 Sounds, all taggable and easy to locate, that can reside in the +Drive Sound Library are always close at hand. Save time by avoiding tedious recreation of analog sounds
Connections
Individual stereo outputs for each voice plus a main output give audio-routing freedom. The two audio inputs allow analog filtering and FX treatments of external sounds. Two dual CV/Gate outputs, a USB port, and MIDI ports capable of sending DIN sync means the Analog Keys can communicate with everything from legacy instruments to computers
Overbridge
Integration software that bridges the gap between the Elektron analog hardware and music studio software through a single USB connection. Available now for Ableton Live but future updates will include other platforms.
