The Bluetooth LE Camera Remote from ShutterBug allows you to trigger your camera's shutter from your iOS or Android powered smartphone. It offers a range of 300' and a battery life of 4 months.
There are no buttons on the remote, you simply power it on by plugging a shutter release cable into the remote, and everything is controlled through a free app on your device. This remote does not come with a shutter release cable, so you must also purchase a cable that is compatible with your camera in order to use the remote.
From the app on your device, you can use the remote to shoot timed exposures, mirror lock-up, or bulb mode. The remote can also act as an intervalometer for making time-lapse videos. If your device loses connection, the remote will continue to function and control your camera. There is no need for Bluetooth pairing; the app will automatically find the remote.
The Shutterbug remote can work up to 300' and will shoot continuously for more than four months on a single battery.
