InFocus IN1146 overview

  • 1Description

The lightweight and portable InFocus IN1146 LED LightPro DLP Projector is an LED projector that requires virtually no maintenance. It uses DLP display technology and features WXGA 1280 x 800 native widescreen resolution. The projector's LED light source lasts up to 30,000 hours and it provides 1000 lumens of brightness.

The IN1146 offers multiple connectivity options including HDMI, VGA and 1/8" (3.5mm) audio/video inputs. There's also an SD card slot and a USB port for PC-less presentations. The USB port affords wireless connectivity as well, thanks to the optional wireless adapter (sold separately). Other features include auto vertical keystone correction and support for multiple menu languages.

30,000 Hour LED Light Source
The projector's LED light source is rated for up to 30,000 hours - so if you use it four hours a day, five days a week, 50 weeks a year, it will last about 12 years. Until then, it's maintenance-free. There's not even a filter to clean or replace. And LED projectors use less power than conventional lamp projectors, which makes the IN1146 more eco-friendly as well.
10,000:1 Contrast Ratio
The IN1146 features a high contrast of 10,000:1, so it vividly renders fine detail and subtle color differences. Even business graphics and content will appear rich and colorful on the screen.
Multiple Presentation Options
The IN1146 gives you multiple ways to connect. You can present content from your PC over an HDMI or VGA cable. You can also connect wirelessly using your laptop and the optional InFocus USB Wi-Fi adapter (sold separately). The projector supports PC-less presenting as well. You can display PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, photos, videos and more from a USB thumb drive or SD card.
Simple Operation
The IN1146 doesn't have to warm up. It turns on as soon as you flip the switch. Plus, auto vertical keystone correction keeps your image square and true wherever you're projecting.

    InFocus IN1146 reviews

IN1146 LED LightPro DLP Projector is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little projector Small, lightweight, instant on and off, surprisingly bright. A good compliment of I/O ports. Really easy to use. Purchased for a video art installation in a private residence. The unit was mounted in a hallway that receives lots of ambient light from two-storey floor to ceiling windows on the beach. Still presented the program with plenty of detail, and brightness (although, obviously not as well as a darkened room). I cannot speak about quality of cinema, home theater, video games, etc. but for this piece it was well suited. Menu and features were easy to navigate, and cover all the bases. The zoom is minimal, and really is just a magnifier that eventually crops the image.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Good! Overall, it is light, bright, quiet, and versatile. Mounts well on a tripod. Took a while to figure out how to project wirelessly, though. For anyone who needs instructions, here is how to connect wirelessly to the IN1146: 1) Plug in your wireless gizmo to the USB port on the projector. 2) Turn on your projector. On your projector, go to EZ Display and select Wireless. It should say Success, indicating that it is now ready to recieve a connection, and it will give you an IP address. 3) Go to your computer and connect the the projector (now acting as a wireless router) the same way you would connect to any other wireless network (so, disconnect from the internet and connect to your projector). 4) Turn on your web browser and navigate to the IP address that the projector is currently projecting on the wall, the one it gives you when you have selected EZ Display -> Wireless. Once you enter that IP into your web browser, you will be able to install the projecting software onto your computer. 5) Turn on the software, and you are ready to project!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Decent Bought 2 of these for work and have no complaints so far. The small size makes them extra portable compared to our old bulky ones. HDMI input means no having to carry a DVI adapter and cable around. LED Bulb means we should never have to purchase a replacement.
