This filter is mainly for use with lighting. The results may vary if using it for cross polarization.

These filters can be used with hot lights, but the way they can be mounted to the light depends on the model. Generally, you would want to keep the filter as least 2-3 inches away from the light to prevent any chance of the filter melting.
