The 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC Lens for Fujifilm X Mount from Rokinon is a manual focus, manual aperture, ultra-wide angle prime lens compatible with APS-C format mirrorless digital cameras. With APS-C sensors it provides a 93.9° angle of view which translates into a 35mm format focal length equivalency of 21mm. A maximum aperture of f/2.8 is effective in low light shooting and provides shallow depth of field. With extra-low dispersion, aspherical and hybrid aspherical lens elements, chromatic aberrations are minimized and sharp, color-accurate images are the result. Shoots Sharp Pictures but Lacks Quality

After using this product for the better part of a year I have found that its sharp and very wide, which can be fun for creative photos and capturing large landscapes. However, don't buy this lens for quality or perfect photographs. I have found that my main complaints are the flaring, cheap plastic built (which gets worn quickly), and within the last year I had discovered that a small crack had grown inside of the glass elements of the lens. Although frustrating, the lens has served me well and will be replaced in the future by the Sony prime G series.

I really like it. It’s small compact has a nice feel a lot better than the first previous version that they had before but it rocks now I would buy it again.

Why does my Rok 14mm work on my xt2 but not my xt4? Is there an obvious setting I need to change on xt4? thank you

Because there is no contact point, the camera doesn't know there is a lens mounted. So it could be a setting problem if you check the menu. Under Set Up/Button Dail Setting/ page (2/3) Shoot Without Lens (ON). you want that on, so the camera will still fire, even if there is no lens attached.

Are there any Sony A7, A7R, A7S, or A7II users who tried this lens? How does it compare to the Rokinon 12mm?

The 14mm is a canon mount and it can be used on the cameras listed but you will need an adapter like the Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Camera Lens Mount Adapter Mark IV.The 12mm lens is a fisheye lens. It is than designed to have distortion compared to the 14mm lens. Also Rokinon makes the 12mm with a Sony Full frame E mount. So an adapter is not used.

At 14mm this is about as wide as you will get for a Full Frame camera like the Sony A7RIII. This should work very well for your needs.

Yes, this can be used with an A72 camera but this lens is manual focus only, an adapter will not help.
