Built for daily use, the aluminum housing has a hard-anodized finish that resists scratching and corrosion. It is also submersible to 6.6', and impact-resistant to 5'. A stainless steel bezel protects the head from damage, and the lens window is tempered to protect the emitters. Heat-dissipating fins on the head provide a passive cooling system to help protect the light from overheating. The diamond-textured grip provides sure-handling in wet or cold conditions.

Nitecore CR6 Reviews

Well Made & Effective

The CR6 represents a good value among quality flashlights. The white light is quite bright and has 4 different intensities. For the vast majority of uses levels 2 or 3 are effective, while maximizing battery life. The ability to dramatically vary the intensity of the red beam is also a plus particularly to avoid 'blindness' when checking camera settings during night photography. Recommended.

Great for Red Light Folks

I bought this light for the high lumen red light only and it was very bright as hoped! Better yet, you can dim the red brightness. And even better than that- whatever you turn the light off at setting is returned when you turn the light on again!! Yay, no covering the face to scroll through the white/red output choices. Just wish the beam could be widened. Anyone can get a bright white light, this is a great option for fans of red (or other colors for other models).

Awesome Light for Darkness and Light Painting

The surprise to my purchase was getting the red/white/blue/green version. The white has 4 intensities that will light your way thru the darkest areas. Then as you begin to set up for shooting you change to the red light (3 intensities) and no interference with other photographers! (makes them happy as well) Having the blue and green have been awesome for light painting (see image of the shipwreck).
