The Micro-Fast Standard Universal L-Bracket from JTec is a two-piece system that allows you to rapidly switch from portrait to landscape mode without having to rotate your tripod head, and is designed to fit most DSLR cameras. The unit consists of two pieces: the L-Bracket and 1/4"-20 mounting plate. When you wish to change orientations, remove the camera from the quick-release of the tripod head and remount the L-Bracket to either landscape or portrait position. Both the bottom and side of the bracket fit an Arca-type compatible quick-release mount. The plate mounts to the bottom of the L-Bracket but the side is already sized to fit the Arca mount. The side section is constructed with a hollow portion that allows you access to your camera's functions.
The tripod head always remains in the upright position since there is no need to loosen it and swing it 90° to either side. Additionally, this bracket allows the camera's weight to be evenly distributed on the tripod since the head is always in its upright stance. The plate's adjustable positioning allows the bracket to be adjusted for the position of the tripod sockets on different cameras.
