Eliminates Unplugging/Plugging

This adapter eliminates having to unplug my lapel mic after recording a take to plug in my headphone and check the audio. It DOES NOT allow me to monitor audio DURING the recording (at least on my Samsung phone), but I can now check my audio immediately afterwards while leaving all my connections intact.

Headphone output doesn’t work

I tried to use the lightning adapter to the unit on one side to my iPhone 11 and my stereo earbuds and rode lavalier on the other. The microphone signal went through to record of video however no audio signal came through to monitor the input on my earphones. I’m going to return in and try the SC6-L as this unit may be only for older iPhones that have the analog audio jack, and newer non iOS devices. However nothing in the product description indicates this lack of compatibility.

Would this adaptor work just as well with only 1 mic plugged into it at a time?

The SC6 will work similarly with a single mic or two mics connected.

We would not suggest you doing that. Going through a mixer would be the proper way of connecting 3 lavalieres.

The headphone output on the SC6 is stereo and uses a 3.5mm TRS connector.

Anyone know if the DJI Osmo Pocket could run dual mics with this adapter to their 3.5mm adapter?

Yes you will also need a DJI USB C adapter view in the link bellow if you don't already have one, then by adding the rode adapter you will be able to use up to two microphones into it at once. Both microphones are recorded in the same track (Mic one on the left side of the track and the second mic on the right side of the same track) One more thing to keep in mind is that this adapter only works with TRRS microphones. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1465202-REG/dji_cp_os_00000010_01_osmo_pocket_usb_c_to.html

Hello Jon, as long as you have a standard TRRS 1/8" input to the S7 this should work fine. If it doesn't have the 1/8" TRRS jack, you would need to contact Samsung about an adapter for such a situation.

Yes. Be aware that you will have to select the input and output on Zoom.

You will need this B&H # APLAADAP adapter cable from B&H. Then you will be able to use the Rode SC6 Dual TRRS.

This unit accepts only TRRS inputs from microphones such as the Rode SmartLav+. You can adapt mics with a typical 3.5mm TRS connection, with a Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones, BH #ROSC4.
