The Polaroid 62mm Pro UV Protector Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to easily pair this filter with others. This Pro version features a slim mount only 0.2", or 4.5 mm thick for use on wide-angle lenses without vignetting.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on a lens at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of a drop or other situations where scratching could occur. Image quality is maintained due to the use of high-quality Schott glass in this filter.
An 8-layer multi-coating has been applied to the filter substrate in order to help reduce surface reflections while maintaining neutral colors and light transmission for greater image clarity. The filter ring is constructed from an aluminum alloy to provide high rigidity as well as resistance against expansion or contraction due to temperature variances.
