  • 1Description

The Tenba TTP46 TriPak is a triangular shaped, padded bag made to carry tripods, light stands, or umbrellas.  Given the realities of modern airline security, it is a sensible answer for a professional photgrapher's travelling needs.  With Tenba TriPaks, professionals rest assured their equipment won't be damaged from a journey's tougher handling points.

The case has a padded handle, haul straps located at the ends, and D-rings for an optional shoulder strap.

Padded nylon bag made to carry a long tripod, light stand or umbrellas up to 45" long.
The case has semi-rigid sides made of air-channeled polyethylene.
The case is lined with nylon pack cloth.
A large flat cloth panel separates two layers of contents; keep your umbrella and light banks separate from your stands and tripod.

    Tenba TTP46 reviews

TTP46 TriPak is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Location Bag I am able to get the following into this bag: Three 8' Westcott Light Stands with adjustable shoe mount brackets attached, Three 43 collapsible Umbrellas,Two Photoflex LiteDome XTC Extra Small Softboxes with fittings, Two Canon 600EX-RT speedlites in their cases (I keep the third one in my camera bag). Sixteen AA batteries easily fit into the front pouch. And with all of this weight the bag feels solid. Well made with easy to grab robust zippers. I'm impressed and it takes a lot to impress me! Rectangular shape instead of triangular would have yielded more volume but there may be some advantages to the triangular shape that I haven't discovered yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice size This is a very convenient case for hauling around lightstands, booms, short background rolls and other long objects. I expect to buy more of these. Only negative comment is that the seams at the zipper is coming apart at one of the corners - that being said, mine have been bursting with equipment. But I had expected this bag to last longer before showing signs of wear - after all, I've only owned it for six months, and Tenba are reputed to make pretty solid stuff. But the zipper on this case could probably use some reinforcement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good, I can't get em back from Dad. I had to buy another one. This makes my 3rd TriPak. They are strong and light weight. This case will hold those items that are too long for most cases, but it is not bulky to travel with or just handle every day. Do zip the zipper pulls to the middle, though. The pulls are vulnerable when you fly if they left on the end of the case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great build quality Works well with my Manfrotto mini boom. Wish list: 1) I wish it was just a tad longer to accommodate the umbrella adapter or Justin clamp or whatever (these need to be taken off); 2) I wish it had a bigger pocket so I can fit more things in; and 3) I wish it had clip-on buckles on the straps inside. The build quality is great and I have no doubt it will last a long, long time. I think it's the best light stand bag that B&H carries (I had a chance to compare them in-store).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect travel pack Fits two light stands, a Manfrotto 561BHDV mono pole and a Manfrotto tripod with 701HDV fluid head. All these items fit and the size is right. The bag is balanced well and the material seems solid enough for international flights. I am about to test this bag on a international trip and I need this gear. The collapsed light stands are too long for most suitcases. This bag is only 4 pounds and seems crush resistant. The zipper may not turn out to be strong enough over time, but that remains to be seen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and durable tripod/stand case I've used one of these for 7 years or so and just bought a second one to house my new Glidetrack. The TriPak is versatile, with no annoying permanent baffles to limit the use. I normally store my medium weight tripod and 2 light stands. It holds up well in airline cargo bays. The only drawback is the zipper (always the Achilles heel of these things). One corner is seeing the zipper detach from the fabric. But it lasted 5 years or so before it happened so that's not too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes I would buy this again and again. I had this same bag for 14 Years and it held up great. It was stolen about 2 months ago so I had to buy another one. The newer model is even better and I am sure it will hold up for another 10 years no problem. I used this bag on many trips and put it through all kinds of heavy use and it never let me down. The size is reasonable for airline travel and most airlines never even charged me additional baggage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag, I was looking for a bag that would fit all my 13 inc tall light stands. This is the one! I can 2 of those impact stands plus a 8 feet Cheetah Stand. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it doesn't include a shoulder strap, which I could find really helpful specially when you are carrying more stuff.
