question

Does this kit fir the Dell Optiplex 780? It's supposed to be able to run non-ECC sticks (double sided) in each of the four slots up to 4GB each for a total of 16GB. Have looked everywhere & had to RMA a set of GSkill Ripjaws because these wouldn't POST. The MB would only make a whining nosie when the stick was installed & the power plug inserted. It done the same with a 4GB stick that originally shipped with my XPS 8700, though ran the 2GB sticks OK (though they weren't double sided), but downclocked to what the single stick was running. Are there any Dell Optiplex 780 owners out there who can sat this IS the one that works?
