The Polsen VM-101 is a compact and sturdy directional condenser microphone that delivers high-quality sound to a DSLR camera, camcorder, or audio recorder. It features an integrated shock mount that can be mounted on a camera or boompole, and is ideal for interviews, ENG and more.

Unlike omni-directional microphones built into most cameras and recorders, the high-quality, directional condenser capsule of the VM-101 will decrease ambient noise while recording sound with greater clarity. The built-in windscreen will also minimize noise caused by moving air. Solid ABS construction and integrated shock mount assure that sudden movements will not detract from the recording.

The VM-101 includes a foam windscreen and simulated fur wind cover that helps to decrease vocal plosives and wind noise when recording dialog. With additional features like an integrated shoe mount adapter, a threaded socket for boom pole attachment, and an included carry pouch, the VM-101 is an ideal tool for a variety of recording projects whether at home or on the go.

I believe I have left mine on, by mistake, for the weekend, off camera, and still had plenty of battery life. I would guess 10+ hours easy.

question

Is there any way I can mount this mic on a Canon HF R52 camcorder?
Asked by: Matthew
Hi Matthew, I would have to say that you would be unable to mount the Polsen VM-101 because there is not a mount on the Canon HF R52 for the Polsen to be placed on. This item is designed for DSLR camera's that have a special plate at the top of the camera that allows for these types of mics to be mounted on. I hope this helps.
