The Quadro 1000M Graphics Card from HP is based on the 1000M mobile chipset from Nvidia. It feature an MXM 3.0 interface, and is suitable for installation in certain laptop and all-in-one desktop computers that feature upgradable graphics. Having a dedicated graphics card not only allows the computer to render images faster and with more detail, it allows can provide additional processing power to GPU-aware applications.
The card features a 700 MHz GPU. To help move data to and from the processor as efficiently as possible it features 2GB of 450 MHz DDR3 RAM over a 128-bit memory interface. Because DDR3 RAM moves data at two words per cycle the effective memory clock speed is 900 MHz.
Popular API Support
Supports DirectX 11.0, DirectCompute 5.0, OpenCL, OpenGL 4.0, Shader Model 5.0, CUDA, and other APIs; through these APIs the graphics card is able to provide additional compute power to GPU-aware applications
Digital Vibrance Control (DVC) 3.0 Technology
A Nvidia technology designed to provide increased color separation and better contrast when rendering images, for a more aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic viewing experience
MXM 3.0 Support
Plug-in interface for mobile computers and all-in-ones with upgradable graphics, including the HP Z1
Dual Data Rate DDR3 RAM
Because DDR3 RAM transfers data at two words per cycle, as opposed to one word per cycle with traditional RAM, the effective data rate is doubled, allowing this card to process data transactions as quickly as if it had a 900 MHz memory clock speed
