The EN-2204 Carbon Fiber Tripod from Sirui is a full-size four-section carbon fiber tripod that can convert into a monopod for versatile applications. With the center column extended, the tripod's maximum height is 65" and as a monopod its maximum height is 64". The tripod weighs just 3.3 lb and can support up to 31 lb. The split center column allows for easy changeover to a short column for low angle shots. Also, the center column can be reversed to shoot from under the tripod.

The four-section legs feature flip locks for easy adjustment and each leg can be independently placed at three position angles and automatically lock in place for secure shooting on uneven ground. Retractable spiked feet supply additional stability when shooting outdoors. The legs on the EN-2204 fold up 180º for compact storage and transport; its folded length is just 19". The tripod's rugged spider is made from forged aluminum alloy and the legs are made from 8-layer 100% carbon fiber for stability, performance and longevity.

EN-2204 Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from very versatile tripod I used this tripod while shooting along the coast of Oregon. It spent a great deal of time in the sand and in the water. I rinsed it off every night. As expected, the flip lock screws did corrode a bit. It will take some cleaning and wd40 to get it all off. However, that is to be expected with any tripod being used in salt water areas. I do like the versatility of this tripod. It can be used quickly in a very low position. It is easy to get low to the ground without having to reconfigure the center posts. The only negative aspect of this tripod, and the reason for 4 stars, is that the lower leg flip locks came loose on a number of occasions and had to be tightened with the provided l wrenches. This happened to myself and another photographer also using her same tripod for the first time. I would recommend this tripod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tripod for my purposes. I shoot a lot of macro, frequently from low angles. I chose the EN-2204 because of the weight and its ability to get very low to the ground. The ability to quickly unscrew the bottom 10-12 inches of the center column combined with the leg spread make it quick and easy git to a very low position. On the other end of the height spectrum, this tripod has plenty of height when needed. I'm over 6 feet tall and it gets my camera, mounted on a gimbal, above my eye level when it need it to. For a carbon fiber tripod at this price point I think it is an excellent buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome tripod I needed a new lightweight yet stable tripod for travelling/hiking. My criteria were: 1) small enough to pack into a carryon, 2) light enough to hike 15 miles with, 3) stable, 4) must come to eye level (for me, that's about 6' tall), and 5) have quick release flip locks. This tripod checks all the boxes plus some. It collapses down nicely to 20 with the legs folded up. I can even leave my Sirui KX-10 ball head attached when folding the legs up. If I want/need more compactness in my carryon, I can remove the tripod leg that doubles as a monopod so that the remaining setup pretty much lies flat on the bottom of my suitcase. It's certainly light enough and stable enough being carbon fiber. If I need more stability, there is a spring loaded hook at the bottom of the center column to add weight to. And finally, it's plenty high enough without the center column extended but will get to eye level (for me) with it extended. I also like that there are retractable spikes in the bottom of the legs. Not one of my criteria but a welcome feature to be sure. Oh, and all for less than $300 (note, a good ball head - or whatever you prefer - will add more cost and weight, so bear that in mind). the KX-10 is a great ball head that doesn't add too much weight or height when the center column is extended plus it's not too expensive at around $110. Easily holds my 80d and 70-300L in portrait mode without drift. There are other features that I don't need, like the aforementioned monopod. But you can remove the long center column and be left with a short center column to get the setup low to the ground. You can also reverse the center column and hang the camera upside down below the spider assembly. And finally, there's a strap that comes with it, although it must be a new design because it is a wrist loop strap whereas the instruction manual describes a different over the shoulder strap. Haven't quite figured out how to attach the new strap, but I'm sure if I wanted/needed it I could go online to find out how to do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Other reviews were's good! These Carbon legs are awesome! I've never owned a carbon setup so I didn't know what to expect. And this wasn't a brand I had ever heard of but wow. All the reviews were right this is a TALL and nice setup! I really like it. And I love the snap lock legs vs the twist lock. For me it makes it all the better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This may not be my last tripod but it could be... The only other one I was seriously considering was 3 times the cost.
