Sirui LE60 Reviews

Works great

I'm new to video and decided to try a leveling base as opposed to adjusting the tripod legs every time. This was so easy to use; it made getting level shots for panning easy. Very glad I bought this.

Solid, no issues

I've attached this to my RocknRoller cart for a sort of makeshift camera cart. Holds my Manfrotto head and Sony F55 with no issues so far!

See any errors on this page?

Does it pan 360 too?

Does it pan 360 too?
Asked by: Tom
The Sirui LE-60 does not have a separate panning axis/base, so it can only if you unlocked the leveling head/aspect of it, which might be counter-intuitive during usage.

question

Hi, Is the top stud on the Sirui LE-60 Leveling Base 3/8 , or is it 1/4 ?
Asked by: Thomas
It is 1/4 on top but it does come with a 3/8 adapter so it can easily be used with any head or camera.

question

Is there a well made leveling base that is smaller? My set up is a Fujifilm X100F, RRS Bh-30, Gitzo series 0 tripod and a Sirui 1205 travel tripod.
Asked by: Michael
Levelers with a capacity of 25 lbs are the smallest we have available. Here is an excellent one at a surprisingly affordability price. Acratech Leveling Base, with 3/8 Tripod Thread - Supports 25 lb (11.4 kg) B&H # ACLB.

question

Is there any difference between this and the Sunwayfoto DYH-66i Leveling Base? They look exactly the same from the picture, same weight and dimensions as well.
Asked by: Yuling
The differences are the brand names and the prices. And the lever is shaped a little differently.

question

Does this allow for rotation as well as tilt? I want to put it between a tripod and slider, but I can't tell if it will let me adjust the pan configuration relative to the legs as well as leveling.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it tilts and rotates like a ball head. Just not as extreme.

question

Mechanical drawings available?
Asked by: Anonymous
No mechanical drawings were included with this item. I am not sure if they are available on-line from the manufacturer. The LE-60 Levelling Base does come with it's own allen key, and will fit most tripods. I found it very useful on a shoot outdoors, with my landscape horizons all level, It is a solid piece of equipment, and worked in well between my manfrotto Video head 128RC and my Manfrotto 55CX3 tripod. For heavier video heads, it may not be up to it, but certainly for what I was using it for, it worked perfectly, quite robust and I did not find it difficult to use, once I was familiarised with it. No complaints.

question

Is it easy to move, or is it stiff and hard to move?
Asked by: Tracy
Hello TracySorry for late replyNo it's not stiff, the single lever controls the lock and adjusts the resistance. I do not think it an issue, it is easy though to slacken off so your camera assembly is very free. I just hold it as you will anyway to position level. This unit is solid when locked off and is very well made. I highly recommend. Hope this helpsRegardsGuy
