question
customer service from DJI said this one can not used in phantom3. anyone knows the answer?
hello from the look of that prop guard it looks small, you have to buy prop guards that have enough clearance for you propellers to spin if your phantom touches a wall the prop guards prevent your phantom from falling out of the sky when it touches something such as a wall or the side of a house

question
Anyone have any experience with the clip on prop guard I saw advertised in another drone website? Pros & Cons?
Since I originated this question, here is my experience since I had the opportunity to fly the drone with the clip on prop guard. Unless it is a high impact collision, either the DJI or the clip on prop guard will provide little protection. Pro: The clip on guards come in two colors. Red for the front and white for the rear. It requires four screws to mount each clamp that secures the prop guard. The DJI prop guards require two. Both will provide protection for low impact collisions or tip overs. If you have a traveling case for your Phantom, you can remove the guards without removing the screws and store your Phantom on trips. Whether you are an expert or not, there will be a time when the Phantom will eventually tip over, whether it be a sudden stop upon landing, landing with a crosswind or landing on uneven ground. The Phantom maneuvers well with the guards on and I believe have no effect on it's aerodynamic air flow. Unless you are flying in an area that is heavily wooded, the strings, in my opinion is not necessary. The only con: As mentioned above, depending on the attitude of the aircraft, the prop guard may be visible while taking photos, especially when the camera is pointed at its highest point.
