    Gitzo GC3101 reviews

GC3101 Padded Tripod Bag is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Please see the attached photos GC3101, may fit Gitzo GT4542LS+Head better, if legs has not been padded. The joint at which the shoulder/upper part of the tripod meets the upper part of the top section, is the reason for snug fitting. Legs padding may contribute in the snug fitting.Still very happy with my purchase, because there is no wasted space, and the next larger case is 4 longer(GC4101, bulky and tripod can move inside). Also, this case has a uniform width overall it's length. Not the same with the next larger one. With Gitzo series 4 tripod inside, GC3101 is Not for luggage.Materials could be better as the price could be lower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good option to carry your expensive tripod I needed a bag to carry my tripod Gitzo GT2542 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber and the seller recommended me this, but I have not had time to look because the store was closing. When I picked up the bag did not like, simpler big she thought it was waiting for the price I paid. I wondered if would use or return, but as I was on vacation trip, I decided to use. After a few days I changed my opinion and I liked it. The tripod fits with ball head, the bag opens easily and good construction. After this experience I would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for you Gitzo tripod Don't even hesitate to spent some more money if you purchased your Gitzo tripod. Use it for GT2532 c/w Gitzo GH2720QR head. No need to disconnect one from another. Small pocket inside. Durable fabric and padded enough to protect your stuff in it. Shoulder strap with metallic hardware can be easily removed and has rubber stripes on it to prevent slip off your shoulder. Zip looks robust and has two pulls on it which let you open/close it in any direction and leave in the middle or close to the edge. Has two hand loops which can be merged by Velcro wrap attached to one of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks like a good bag. We'll have to see I've only had the bag for a week now. I upgraded from a Hakuba (400) I think? One of the ends blew out on it. I guess that's what you get when you cheap out on a bag. It seems like you get what you pay for. On the other hand, when you're on a budget, you may have to cut corners. From just my personal first impression, the ripstop nylon does not seem as sturdy as a cordura. This brings up concerns of longevity. It's not a cheap bag. Secondly, it's quite a snug fit for my Gitzo 3541 Legs.I have a Sunwayfoto DDH Low profile panning ballhead on it. This head is eqivilent to the RRS 52 (then next one down from the 55). Lastly, I do miss the extra external pouch which the Hakuba has. The gitzo has a small, thin internal satin pouch. I wouldn't put any allen tools or objects that would gouge the carbon legs. I'm on the fence about the fit. Not sure if a snug fit, protects my legs better or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Perfect I bought this case in hopes that it would accommodate both my Gitzo GT4542LS and an Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 head. Before purchasing, I was concerned the head attached to the tripod would be too long. The fit is perfect since there is little interior play that would allow the tripod to slide around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits like a glove I use it to cary my GT3542L Mountaineer Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod w/RRS ball head. It fits like it was made for it and it was. Very high end material and construction w/sufficient padding. The compartment on the inside is very handy for small tools or photography items you may what to carry with the tripod. Its a bit costly but its protecting a very nice piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits my 5x and 2x Carbon Gitzo Tripods like a glove. The strap has rubberized material that clings to you so it doesn't slide around and all my gear fits in it perfectly without sliding around. So perfect I bought 2.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too long too fit into 'checked luggage'. This case is well made, looks great, but is too long! My Gitzo Mountaineer tripod, with Relly Right Stuff BH-55 ball head (attached), fits nicely into my checked luggage. However, when I place my gear into these bag, the bag is too long to fit into my (good size) piece of checked luggage. I have to place the tripod/head into my luggage, then place the bag into the luggage separately; one end of this bag then needs to be bent to fit into my luggage. This takes up too much space! I returned the bag to B&H and this had a negative effect on myreturn rate.
