A compact wide-angle prime for Samsung NX mirrorless cameras, the 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS from Samyang is a flexible lens suitable for landscape, nature, and architectural photography. The optical design utilizes two aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element, which help to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and clarity. A Nano Coating System (NCS) has been applied, too, to suppress flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color accuracy. Additionally, the manual focus design of the lens offers a 9.4" minimum focusing distance for working with close-up subjects.

Can you tell me the difference between this and the Rokinon version... apart from the $1 price difference!I know it's a different choice of lens options, but is the image quality very different to the Tokina 11-16? I can't find a direct comparison/website that has a review of both (so would run the same tests).
Rokinon is the makers' brand (ROK for Republic of Korea), Samyang is a second brand of the same maker. The image quality of both the Samyang 10mm and Tokina 11-16 are very good, though the Tokina lens will give you more versatility if you wanted to have zoom.

How is this lens for astro-photography?
For wide angle views of the Milky Way, or constellations, or shooting nightscapes, it is very good. Very sharp wide open. I've used it with my K50 and an external battery using the interval timer function for meteor showers, as well as with a manual barn-door tracker (you can make one with a strap hinge and a bolt or just buy one of the small camera tracking mounts). Very good images. Search on AstroMark 40 Years Worth in Flickr if you want to see examples taken at Grand Teton National Park.

This is 10mm lens for APS-C sensor the crop factor is 1.5 , that's equivalent to 15mm angle of view
