FUJIFILM AR-X100 Reviews
Gouge item
When you purchase the camera, you don't think about how to protect the nice lens; but in order to prevent scratches, you need a UV filter; but, you have to purchase this small adapter ring for $50 in order to attach the filter; and the fuji filter also costs about $50. In addition, the battery life on this camera is subpar, so you will need an additional battery and charger. In the end, you will spend an additional $200 in necessary accessories to practically use the Fujifilm X100V camera.
Works perfectly for my X100F
Exactly what I needed to mount a glimmerglass filter.
Cheaper to get the Nisi!
The Nisi has both the filter and the ring in one piece...
Great fit and finish
One might argue that Fuji is nickel-and-diming their customers by requiring an add-on to make the camera weather-proof and filter-compatible, but the product is well made and doesn't detract from the beauty of the X100V.
Weird
The adapter itself is fine, the problem is that ounce you place it on the lens the lens cap doesn't work anymore. So it makes you choose between having the adapter or using the lens cap. Very weird and clumsy to be honest.
Great Fuji quality
lt works great and looks nice.
Works
It works as it should
Essential for adding accessories to the Fuji X100
The only thing lacking in my enjoyment of the X100F is being able to use filters for more creative control of my images. This little gadget is a game changer and allows me to expand my usage of my little retro looking machine. I've forsaken my shelf full of dslr's when I'm out running errands and walking the dog in the park, opting to instead carry the Fuji. Just having the ability to add a protective filter makes me fee better about being out and about with my X100. The only tiny little criticism I have is that I can no longer use the cool retro metal lens can as this upgrade makes it no longer possible to use. It's a little price to pay for being able to add filters, but I bought the camera because it had the retro look and digital heart, but having to compromise is how it goes sometimes. Such is life I guess.
