is there a ball mount adapter for this quick release?

Yes, SeaLife has two different Ball Joint Adapters. Item SL995 will adapt SeaLife Sea Dragon lights to other mounting systems using a 1 ball joint mount. The other is item SL999 that will adapt other underwater lights using a 1 ball joint system to SeaLife Flex-Connect arms, grips and trays. Hope this help.
