I was having challenges getting this to work on my hard drive. Went to store for assistance. Staff could not have been more helpful and got it to work. Task accomplished. Thanks B&H.

Doesn't work with 10tb hdd

even thoug b&h staff told me it is a suitable device for my 10Tb hdd, it didn't work with it. when i tried, my hdd made funny noises

I am wanting to copy my old IDE system drive ...

I am wanting to copy my old IDE system drive (WIN98SE) to a new drive. Will this cable let me copy the old drive contents to a PC and then copy over to a new drive?

What is the maximum supported HDD capacity when connected to this cable?

I'm very sorry but Prudent Way does not specify the maximum drive capacity for the Prudent Way USB 3.0 IDE & SATA Cable BH #PRPWIU3IDSA. Being that it is an older adapter and also supports IDE, it most likely will only work with drives that are up to 4TB.
