This mixer is awesome and reasonably priced.

Third purchase not a charm

I have purchased three of these. The first two (purchased 2012-2015) worked well for a variety of projects, including podcasts, videos, and live events with mics. The third (purchased in 2017) worked well except for the two xlr out jacks. Noise has been terrible coming out of them. We have had to rely entirely on the USB out to make recordings. Suggest testing every input/output cable

question

Is phantom power only on ch4 or all xlr inputs?

If you are recording onto a recording device, like a field recorder, you can take the balanced stereo outputs from the mixer to the recorder. If you intend to record to your computer, you will need an audio interface, or you may want to consider the MG10XU, which has a 2x2 interface built in. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1026876-REG/yamaha_mg10xu_10_in_stereo.html

Hi there, just curious, the 4 mic inputs for this item. What type of source is that? are those just covers on it? Im looking to use xlr if possible. Thanks!
Asked by: Adam H.
What you see is a combo connector - accepts both XLR and 1/4 TRS.
