The OPAES1 AES3 2-Channel Input Module from Ashly is a factory installed module option that adds AES3 digital inputs to the NE series 2-channel amplifiers. The amp can accept AES3 stereo digital inputs into the Digital Audio Input Slot of the amplifier. This protocol allows 2 channels of digital audio to be transmitted over a single cable, thus maintaining a completely digital signal path until just before the power amplification stage. Both 48 kHz & 96 kHz digital data rates are supported.
