Steadicam 804-7900 overview

  • 1Description

The Steadicam Pilot Sled Docking Bracket mounts on an available C-stand, and allows you to dock your Pilot Sled, so that you can rest and recover between set ups. The bracket features a safety pin on a cable that secures the sled into the docking bracket. On the opposite side of the docking cavity, the bracket features a pin that matches the pin on available support arms. This pin allows you to mount the sled to the docking bracket and fine-tune the balance of the camera on the Pilot's sled. This is for the docking bracket with safety pin only and does not include stand, vest, sled, or arm.

Pilot Sled Docking Bracket is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No other choice the bracket does the job, but it's priced ridicules high, for a pice of aluminum since you don't have any other choice i don't see any other option beside to rate it 4 stars as it's doing the job.As balancing the Solo is almost impossible without having this bracket as you can't hold a steadicam with one hand and balancing it for 10 minutes you need to have the bracket, i can't understand why $$ piece of aluminum should cost $$ and come as is, not package, no manual, nothing to show where the rest of the $$ went for a trip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Steadicam necessity I recently purchased a Steadicam Solo. The unit is near impossible to balance without this unit. You can do it, but by the time you balance, you'll be too tired to fly it.CON: It's stupid expesnive. $ for a piece of steel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Required if you own the Steadicam Solo This is a must for any one who owns the Steadicam Solo. It is a little expensive but totally worth the cost. I use the Steadicam Solo with my Panasonic UX90 which is quite heavy if you try to balance the Solo holding it in your hands, This small, well crafted piece of metal takes the pain out of balancing the Solo and also helps take the load of your shoulders when not using the Steadicam.
