I purchased the FSB 8 a couple of years ago and this was the handle that came with it. The reason I bought the FSB 8 was to have precise control when panning and tilting, something the FSB 8 Head does flawlesly! HOWEVER, all of the engineering that went into the fluid head did not extend to the handle! And therein lies the problem.! And it's a significant enough pronlem that i felt compelled to write this review. I tighten the rosette as tight as possible and strain my fingers every time in the process. The handle itself is made of a 'weaker' metal that always gives a bit when i begin a pan or tilt. So this 'bendy' handle 'un'does all of the beautiful engineering that is inside the head. It has been SO dissapointing over the past 2 years when my shots are ruined and i have to reset because of this cheap handle. I want something rigid that is as sturdy as everything else in the Head! I shoot on a RED Epic on Series 5 Gitzo legs and all of that engineering falls apart at my fingertips because of a 'bendy' handle. I wish Sachtler would make a sturdy replacement with appropriate rossettes- i would quickly purchase it and try to forget all the times this 'straw-like' handle has left me wanting. If anyone has found a replacement or workaround please post it. Thanks.

Great Head, Horrible Pan Handle, No Options
There's only really two panhandles on the market for the FSB8 head. This and a $275 telescoping option. The Sachtler head is amazing, but this flimsy panhandle is difficult to tighten. It doesn't even compare to the sturdy and tight Miller DV20 panhandle and that's a significantly cheaper tripod. Please, Sachtler. Offer an affordable option to make up for this.

My FSB6 handle broke after 8+ years of use. This replacement is exactly like the original, and works perfectly fine.
