This flip-lock head doesn't seem to accept regular Arca swiss plates. Is there an adapter so I can use my generic Arca plate?
The 'adapter' would just be another Arca Swiss plate that is compatible with the head, which, at that point, you would just use to mount your camera directly to the Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 With Fliplock Quick Set Device Ball Head. You can find compatible plates under the accessories tab.

The Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 is compatible with the Monoball Classic systems.

The Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 with Fliplock Quick Set Device ball head features a Fliplock quick release plate, which is compatible with the Lumix GH2.

Is it possible to remove the clamp on this head? I found this fliplock clamp really hard to use and I would like to replace it with a RRS clamp.
I am not having a problem with it; it is a wonderful ball head. Maybe you have a defective one.

I have a RRS BA9 plate for Sony A7R III. Does the RRS plate fit the clamp of the arca-swiss P0 ballhead with fliplock or I need to get the one with classic quick release?
I just sent the arca-swiss PO ballhead with fliplock back since I could never get it tight on either of my plates...the arca-swiss one or another off brand. There is a wheel to adjust it but no matter the direction I turned it I could not get it to tighten then it completely came unscrewed and fell apart. I guess I turned it too far. It was spring loaded and it would not fit back together so I sent it back. The locking mechanism is also very hard to use. I would seriously advise you to the the classic quick release version.
