Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with Arca Classic Quick Release
Key Features
  • Load Capacity: 88 lb
  • Height: 4.3"
  • Weight: 2.4 lb
  • Precision Gears Provide Fine Adjustments
The Arca-Swiss C1 Cube with Arca Classic Quick Release is a three-axis panoramic head with an 88 lb load capacity, making it ideal for use with the heaviest cameras while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. The C1 Cube allows for smooth and stable gearless panning adjustments. The two panoramic axes permit you to first center the Cube's controls to your position with the bottom axis and then readjust the camera to point straight ahead with the upper axis. The gears' rubberized knobs give pinpoint control even when wearing gloves and don't obstruct the head's movements. The Cube's bottom features a hinge allowing a 62° tilt so that most cameras can reach the 90° vertical position, while the top features two bubble levels and Arca-Swiss' Classic style quick release clamp.

What is the difference between the 2.3 and 2.7 lb versions?
Asked by: John
One of the 2.7 lb version that says geared panning, has a knob with gear to pan. The other version the pan is like a normal pan, no gear, it just rotates when you release the knob. The geared pan allows finer control.

why is this model more expensive? what's the difference with the other ones? Is there a geared panning version with the flip-lock system? Thanks!
Asked by: Sergio
This one is more expensive because it is designed more beefy to have a higher payload. The one with the flip-lick system is BH #ARC1CQ.

Is there a way to lock the index marker just above the top panning plate so that it won't move haphazardly during panning. It doesn't stay in one place on the panning plate and it doesn't necessarily move an equal amount to the camera clamp which resides just above it? Thanks.
Asked by: Russell
I dont know of anyway to lock the marker other than using tape.

What is the difference between 2.2lb and 2.4lb ...

What is the difference between 2.2lb and 2.4lb and what are the advantages and disadvantages?
Asked by: Tetsuya
The difference between the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with Arca Classic Quick Release with GP (Geared Panning) and the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with Arca Classic Quick Release is that the GP version allows for both manual movement and geared movement if you wish to for a very precise rotation. There are no disadvantages to using the GP version over the classic, however the classic version is also a great option if you do not need a micrometric rotation.
