question

Hi, After a Arca-Swiss ball head for my Leica Televid 77 Spotting scope,it will be used in cold mountainous snowy conditions (cold hands) would the MonoballFix be better than the other quick release Monoball ZI to use in these conditions. Also what plate will I order for my spotting scope. Kind Regards, Christopher.

The knobs on the Monoballfix will be easier to operate in the cold when wearing gloves or cold bare fingers due to their shape. As for a plate, I suggest the Arca-Swiss VarioKit Universal Quick Release Camera Plate: http://bhpho.to/1ohX7Do

question

I'm trying to decide which of these two heads to buy. Arca-Swiss - Monoball Z1 sp with Quick Release MFR # 801104 or Arca-Swiss MonoballFix Z1 SP Ball Head MFR # 801105. I often work in cold weather. I read that the MFR # 801105 is better because of the knob. On the image it looks the same?
Asked by: Francis L.
Both of these heads will give you an equal excellent performance in cold weather. The knobs are the same.

question

What's the difference betwee this and the 801104?
Asked by: Rohith P.
The difference we found is the Z1 sp can handle 130 lb / 59 kg and has 1 bubble level. The MonoballFix Z1 can handle 132 lb / 60 kg and has 2 bubble levels.

Compared to B&H #ARZ1DPQSP, which is the Monoball Z1, the Z1g+ has Dual 360 Panning Axes. It is also slightly taller at 5.3 compared to 4.7 on the Z1.
