    Lexar 64GB reviews

    64GB Professional 1066x CompactFlash Memory Card (UDMA 7, 2-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 169.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from crash im reposting the same issues with the SD cards: I thought id try to double card purchase. i heard good things about Lexar, using the D800e and the D810, i need something with a faster write speed for events. Immidiately after use i noticed a few files missing. But, i shoot raw+ jpeg specifically for this reason and all was well. 6 months in, the cards began giving me errors and not functioning during a shoot. finally, one decided he wanted to die and did. the other, 1 week later, decided to follow suit. if youre a amateur or hobbiest, im sure theyre great. but if you rely on getting the shot or you wont get paid, dont go cheap and dont purchase lexar. the same goes for the SD cards

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, reliable RAW shooting Fast cards and reliable. Used both of them over the course of a 2-day sports event where I needed fast write speeds for racecar photography. I filled up both cards each day with RAWs. Many of the shots I take are with fast moving objects and with each panning shot at a very fast shutter speed the cards can write on average about 7-to-12 RAW photos before the buffer starts to chug using a 5Dmk3. While this isn't amazing performance, it's still reliable and works as expected. I'll probably be buying 128gb cards in the future. Super fast transfer with the Lexar Professional Dual Slot Reader too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Third Strike I own four of these cards which I use with a 5D Mk3 and I have had to send three back now to Lexar for warranty exchange. Around the six month mark, they start failing to formatproperly resulting corrupt files and lost images. Lexar'srescue software usually manages to recover most of my photos but not all. I suspect constantly shooting in burst mode may have something to do with it but can't say for sure. Lexar always replaces them which is nice but as a professional, I feel there is too great a risk. At the end of the day, I have decided to phase them out in favor of Sandisk Extreme Pro's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and reliable I use these cards in my Canon 7D Mk II cameras, which can shoot up to 10 frames per second. That means 200 MB of data produced by the camera per second. When I was using a less capable card, the buffer of the cameras would fill up too quickly, and I'd miss shots because of it. With these cards I can still fill the buffer if I'm not careful, but in most cases, the camera can write to these cards quickly enough that I seldom do fill the buffer. In the few instances that I have, these cards write quickly enough to clear the buffer in time to allow me to begin shooting again before the action is over. In the two years I've been using these cards, I've never had one fail, despite using them daily for hundreds of images per day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cards! I've recently upgraded from a camera that only accepted SD cards to one that uses the compact flash. I wanted plenty of memory so I chose the 2 pack 64 gig cards and I love them. Very fast reading and transfer rate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Speeds, Reliable Storage I am a wedding photographer and recently made the decision to begin using 64GB cards rather than 32GB cards. While it does feel a bit more vulnerable to use high capacity cards, these Lexar cards have proven to be very reliable and fast. I shoot with a Canon 5D mark iii and always pair each of my CF Cards with an additional SD card for redundancy. This in-camera back up paired with Lexar's supreme reliability gives me peace of mind and allows me to crunch through a whole wedding without worrying about timing my card swaps. These cards also allow for very fast transfer speeds when transferring my images into my workflow. It feels great to dump a full card's worth of images onto a hard drive quickly after a long day of wedding photography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable for Videography I use these CF cards for my 5D MK II and it definitely does the job. I can always rely on these cards to capture my video without any worry that the card might stutter in recroding or die. Some cards stop recording due the writing limitations of the card but this card can handle 1080p video very well, it won't be able to handle RAW video if you are using Magic Lantern, but for it's price I think it's okay. 64GB is handy when you want to shoot for long periods of time like a wedding or party, I used to use 32 GB cards and rarely I would run out of memory, but with the 64GB, I feel confident that those incidents will never happen again. If you are shooting only pictures though, you won't need 64GB, I've used a 32GB card for one camera for an event and I still had room for pictures even after taking over 1400 RAW photos. In essence, this is a reliable product, you are getting what you paid for, definitely does what they advertised.
