Vortex CF2-31049 overview

  • 1Description

The 3-12x56 Crossfire II AO Hog Hunter Riflescope from Vortex Optics is a purpose-built scope designed for hog hunting. The large objective lens and anti-reflective fully multicoated optics are designed for use in low-light conditions such as at dawn and dusk, or in heavily wooded areas with a dense canopy, when hogs are most active. Capped low-profile turrets provide 1/4 MOA per click shot correction, with 15 MOA of travel per revolution and 60 MOA of total windage and elevation adjustment.

The Crossfire II employs the versatile V-Brite modified duplex crosshair reticle. This reticle features 2.3 MOA thick outer posts that taper to thinner hairs which draw the eye to an illuminated center red-dot. The dot has eleven brightness settings to adjust it to your preference and lighting conditions. The scope's 30mm main-tube is made of a single-piece of aluminum with a matte-black hard anodized finish. It's nitrogen-filled for water and fogproof performance in extreme conditions.

    Vortex CF2-31049 reviews

3-12x56 Crossfire II AO Hog Hunter Riflescope (V-Brite Reticle) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Durability I mounted this scope on my AR 6.8SPC II. I went on a hog hunt last weekend in West Texas, killed 1st hog Friday night. Then on Saturday afternoon while driving over some really rough terrain my rifle was ejected from the UTV right into a pile of rocks, went back to camp to test fire and was in disbelief, the scope was dead on. I went out and took another hog right at dark thanks to the lighted reticle. Thanks for building a great scope at a great price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why no marketing comments on 1 star rating Just ready to hit buy a Vortex hog 56mm when I saw a review by Roger a military guy in Germany with 1 star a month ago in Dec 2017. (Rachel in marketing commented on another review 7 days ago). Vortex needs to comment as to what action is or was taken or being worked. Having been an active duty in Germany it is difficult to get company's attention, so Vortex needs to address his issues or explain in a comment why only his email comment and no followup explanation. Am very happy with my Vortex PST ffp and am ready to buy another Vortex product when Roger's issues or explanation GI overseas complication us resolved or properly addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Scope for the money! I bought this scope to mount on my Springfield Armory M1A and am very satisfied with the looks and with the performance of this scope. It lives up to all that it is advertised....very clear optic in low light situations and it is very rugged as it has taken a good amount of abuse with the usual knocks that come from traveling in the field. I would recommend this scope to anyone looking for a great optic at a very affordable price. Thanks Vortex! You've really hit it outta the park with the Hoghunter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great Vortex product! I bought this as a backup scope for my Remington 7mm mag and after mounting it to my rifle to zero it, I have decided that it is worthy of much more. Vortex has managed to create another optic that is easily competitive with the more expensive and longer established companies out there. Every Vortex scope I have purchased, including this one, has such a clear and crisp view, that it amazes me how they can offer their products for a portion of the cost of the other companies out there. Hats off to Vortex from the little guy who works hard for the money spent on hunting gear!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little heavy but worth every penny So I bought this scope to mount on my SCAR 17s, then decided to mount it on my AR so my kids can shoot. I've taken many hogs and deer with the AR. I am now looking to buy another one for the SCAR. It's heavy and bulky but the illuminated reticle is everything you need. The 56mm objective brings in tons of ambient light, great for sitting in a blind or in heavy cover/brush like where I'm at. I love this scope and can't wait to get another one... Just exercise cause you'll need to

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light magnet & accurate Second year, I hunt my farm Georgia, heavy swamp or 150-225 yard lanes. Absolutely deadly. I can honestly add 10 - 15 minutes at dusk. Clarity in 20 degrees , rain and no fogging. Highly recommend . savage 3006. Take the Step Up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optics and clarity I got this scope from my family for Christmas this year and mounted it on my Ruger 6.5 creedmor for long range deer and hog hunting and I have missed yet and definitely not disappointed. I will start replacing all of my Optics with Vortex. Love the unconditional warranty hopefully I’ll never have to use it but it’s great piece of mind. I am a small business FFL person and would love if Vortex would offer better stocking packages or ordering deals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product or the money. I bought this at a local gun shop. When I got it it had a finger print or dust on the inside lense. Plus I dropped my rifle and tweaked the tube. So I sent it back and got a brand new one free of charge. It is Chrystal clear and very bright even at dusk. I highly recommend this product if you plan to hunt at intermediate ranges at dusk. Or if you just want a kick butt optic on your AR.
