The black Sony ICF-C1PJ Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection is an alarm clock radio that allows you to project the time. The projection module can be rotated so you can project the time onto a wall or ceiling, and a focus dial makes the red projection easily readable. It lets you wake to any of five different nature sounds and set two different wake times. You can also wake to the AM/FM radio or a standard alarm chime. The USB port allows you to charge USB-powered devices like a smartphone, MP3 player, or tablet. Meanwhile, the backlit LCD is easy-to-read and allows you to adjust its brightness. Everything I was looking for
This clock has all of the features that I was looking for. I especially like the display options and the plethora of alarm sound options.
Sony projection alarm clock
I absolutely love this clock! It has a small footprint on my nightstand and is aesthetically attractive in a minimalist form. The numbers on the ceiling are approximately 4 times larger and clearer than the projection clock it's replacing. But the very best feature is that not only can I rotate the elevation of the projection, I can also swivel the orientation of the numbers on the ceiling.
Can not attach or sync phone to Clock / Radio
In 2023 I was shocked to find out that I paid a lot of money for a Clock / Radio that does not have any ability to sync or attach my phone. Everyone keeps play lists on their phone. Teenagers do not even use radios! I am extremely disappointed!
Easy Set Up...Great Features
Too soon to rate reliability since this clock has only been used for 2 weeks. However, once accustomed to the various settings and related buttons/switches, a very nice clock. Clock has various alarms including 5 nature, radio and tone (7 different alarm sounds)...GREAT! Exactly what we were searching for. It's great to wake up to a choice of nature sounds or music (we prefer classical - KUSC - for VERY early wake-ups, rather than just the standard radio or tone (usually a buzzer or beep) found on most alarm clock-radios. Time projection (9-foot ceiling) is very clear and large, although it's just as easy to view the time on the clock face. The digital read-out on the clock face? Just look at the B&H clock images and that should give a clear idea of the visibility, view and appearance of digits...again, very large, very clear. Regarding the settings, due to the number of options on this clock, users simply need to slow down, study the settings and refer to the user guide if necessary for settings customized to individual or personal needs. Clock cost $68...WELL worth it considering all the options and features (we also purchased the B&H Allstate Protection, for added peace of mind or JIC--Just In Case). Lastly, as usual, B&H provides more than adequate product detail to answer all questions and to make an informed buying decision (plus, B&H offers a downloadable .pdf user manual that may provide additional information that may not be listed under product details on B&H...again, an outstanding B&H feature!)
Great Alarm Clock
This Sony alarm clock is easy to setup and use, dual alarms with selectable modes (AM, FM, Buzzers), reliable battery backup. Ceiling projection is a bit weak in intensity in rooms with high ceilings, but can alternatively be aimed at closer side walls. ordering process and rapid shipping by B&H is a hallmark of their excellent customer service and support.

Have been wanting a projection alarm clock and came across a SONY. Easy to figure out. Projection works great. Nature sounds are sooo much better than any horrible buzzer.
