Vello CB-415 Overview

The Vello V-Rig 4.1" Triple Shoe Bracket mounts onto a camera's accessory shoe in order to provide three additional accessory shoes for mounting lights, monitors, microphones, or other accessories. In addition to the shoe mount, a 1/4"-20 thread is also available for attaching the bracket to a tripod, rig, or other bracket featuring a 1/4"-20-threaded mount.

The bracket is constructed from rigid, yet lightweight single-piece aluminum alloy, and the mounting shoes are machined out of the same piece as the bracket, for additional strength. The accessory shoes also feature backstops for greater security when attaching accessories. The bottom shoe that attaches to the camera features a locking pin, which keeps the shoe in place and prevents the shoe from rotating during use.

4.1"-Wide Bracket
This V-Bracket's width spans 4.1" and has a tiered design for mounting up to three additional accessories.
Machined Aluminum Alloy
The bracket is machined out of a single piece of aluminum alloy, which provides greater strength to the three shoes.
Accessory Shoe and 1/4"-20 Socket Mounts
The bracket can attach directly to a camera via the accessory shoe or, additionally, it features a 1/4"-20 socket for attaching to threaded mounts such as a tripod.
Locking Pin
The bottom shoe that mounts on to the camera features a locking pin, which prevents the bracket from rotating.

question

Will this work in conjunction with my Yongnuo YN622C-TX Wireless flash controller? In other words can I mount this along with my canon 430 EXII strobe?
Asked by: Paul
No, that will not work. That bracket is a cold shoe adapter. And the controller to work needs to be attached to the camera via its hotshoe.

Just wondering if these things can be daisy chained - buy 2 and mount the 2nd in one of the 1st shoes?
Asked by: michael
Physically you would be able to connect one Vello V-Rig 4.1" Triple Shoe Bracket to one of the top three shoe mounts. However, you will have to be very careful with the weight of the items you use in that configuration. We also offer taller shoe brackets like the following if you were looking to add height. Asked by: Tony
Yes the Auray shock mount will fit in the middle, but other items may or may not fit the Vello Shoe Bracket at the same time.

question

How high are the two mounts from the standard center cold shoe? I need to raise a mic so the windscreen is out of the frame.
Asked by: Davin
Hi,The tallest one is about 80 mm (3,15 inch) and the lower is about 47 mm (1,85 inch) measured from the bottom of the cold shoe to the bottom of the shoes on each arm.I use a wide angle converter and an old Sony microphone that is not too long and that works fine. As long as you don't use a shotgun microphone it will probably stay out of the frame, but try so simulate it before deciding..!Kindly

question

Is 4.1 wide from the centers of the 2 top shoe mounts? Would someone please help? Thank you.
Asked by: George
Well leaving apart the lowest one the other two are of much utility as two lapel mics or two shoulder to shoulder camera lights can be mounted.I would say its like must have utility even if keeps on lying in your kit. Undoubtedly will come into use when needed the most.plus look on youtube contains one nice video(just paste V-Rig 4.1 Triple Shoe Bracket ). Unfortunately cant add link over here as the site prohibits doing so.
