The Dual HERO System for HERO3+ Black Edition Cameras from GoPro is a unified housing that holds two HERO3+ Black Edition cameras so that you can record 3D video or use the camera's 12MP sensor to take 3D still photos. The system features a USB sync cord to ensure both cameras start and stop at the same time--or that the shutter release triggers at the same time for photos--and that both cameras are operating at the same settings. Using the GoPro Studio editing software, a free download, you can combine the 2D images from each camera into a single, 3D-ready file. Two pairs of 3D glasses are included to help you view your finished 3D work.

Although the HERO3+ Silver and HERO3+ Black Edition cameras are both the same physical size, only the Black Edition will support synchronization for 3D recording.

Simultaneous Capture
Holds two HERO3+ Black Edition cameras, enabling you to capture full-resolution videos and/or photos simultaneously for stereoscopic 3D or redundant, two-camera capture applications
Create 3D Content
Record a pair of synchronized 2D videos or photos that can be converted to single 3D image using GoPro Studio editing software, available via free download from GoPro
Single Interface Control
Allows the first camera to control the second's settings and modes to ensure the footage will match
Integrated Mini USB Port
The Sync Cable features a Mini USB port, which enables data off-load, battery charging and live-feed video when used with the Skeleton Backdoor. Because the Skeleton Backdoor has cutouts the camera may not be submerged in this configuration
Three Mounting Points
The housing features not one but three standard GoPro two-prong thumbscrew mounting interfaces giving you flexibility when setting up your 3D rig
Two Curved and Two Flat Adhesive Mounts
Mount the Dual HERO System to your gear and equipment to capture immersive POV footage during your favorite adventure activities
Includes 3D Anaglyph Glasses
So that you can enjoy your 3D movies shot with this system when you get home, two pairs of anaglyph 3D glasses are included

Dual HERO System for HERO3+ Black Edition Cameras is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 3D still hanging in there I take many 3D images, both videos and still photos with Panasonic camcorder (with 3D attachment) and LUMIX TZ-70 . These are uploaded to a Mac computer edited and displayed in 3D on a Panasonic Viera TV. I have a matching pair of Go Pro Hero 3+ Black Edition cameras. The Dual HERO System seemed ideal for my set up. However the journey from set up to achievement has been long and arduous. On this journey I have tested the Instruction manuals,GoPro Support teams, and the GoPro editing system. The Dual HERO System manual was over simplified and appeared to be a re-write of the manual for the 3D system for HERO and HERO 2 cameras. The GoPro Support Team contacted by both phone and email made a sincere effort to solve the problems, but often had little knowledge, or access to it, of the latest system and its combination with Apple Mac computers. Similarly the Go Pro Editor had to be constantly updated to a point where my Mac had to upgrade to a new operating system to overcome specific issues with the GoPro Editor codec. After almost 12 months I now have edited 3D from the Dual HERO System which can be viewed in stunning 3D on the TV screen. Under water imaging is superb. An appropriately filtered Hero 3D system, plus lighting of videos and photos of coral reefs is extremely realistic. GoPro designers of this system had in mind a transitory demographic of 'wow' users. A pair of Hero 3, and 3+ cameras in the Dual case are only 34mm apart. So viewers will only be able to perceive 3D with a range of 1.5m to about 10m. Aging 'stereoscopists'. like this reviewer, maybe disappointed with this range and want the extra 10 to 15m that comes with wider camera separations.
