FlashForge Creator overview

  • 1Description

The Creator 3D Printer from FlashForge features a laser-cut wooden case with dual extrusion technology for reliable, multi-color 3D printing. The Creator 3D printer has a built-in LCD screen and tactile touch-responsive keypads for customizing options. Since the Creator 3D printer comes with both a 2GB Secure Digital (SD) memory card and a USB cable, you'll have two options for transferring your 3D models to the Creator for printing. The Creator 3D printer supports both .stl and .x3g file formats and utilizes both ABS and PLA filaments in a variety of colors.

The Creator 3D printer supports layer resolutions from 500 microns to up to 100 microns and can print a 3D model that is up to 300 cubic inches in volume. The build plate is leveled and heated during 3D printing to ensure easy removal of the 3D model after it's done printing.

MK-8 Dual Extruder
With the upgraded MK-8 dual extruder, the Creator 3D printer can print in two colors of PLA filament, eliminating the need for constant monitoring when printing. The dual extruder also removes the need to switch out filaments during a two-color 3D print job.
User-Friendly Interface & Touch-Responsive Keypads
The Creator 3D printer has tactile touch-responsive keypads located directly on its wooden case. From monitoring the extruder temperature to changing filaments, you'll be able to directly customize your settings on the Creator 3D printer itself.
You can transfer your ready-to-print designs into the Creator 3D printer directly with the included 2GB Secure Digital memory card, which frees up your computer from having to use a cable. If you prefer a reliable wired connection, you can connect the included USB cable to a USB port on your computer to transfer your 3D print models.

    FlashForge Creator reviews

Creator 3D Printer (Wood Case) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far lovin' it! Decided to take the dive on my first 3D printer and I must say I am so far very happy with my Flashforge Creator I. Setup was very straightforward and I was printing my first test object within an hour of unboxing. Print quality can vastly be improved by a magnitude of options in various slicer applications which can be tricky and take time to figure out. It came with a spool of PLA and spool of ABS filament to get you up and running with dual extrusions immediately. The build plate has a kaptop tape which so far has provided a sticky enough surface for my objects. I tried glass with hairspray and was much happier just using the kaptop take, or using a light mist of hairspray for a little extra stick. The only issue which is a fairly big one considering having your extruders level is critical to high precision builds, is that my build plate isn't flat which is causing larger objects I want to print to pull up from the build plate causing uneven prints. I would say my plate (which is only 225mm wide, has about 1mm of bend to it. So far overall very happy with this purchase as an entry to 3d printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and best price. This Printer works very well and was easy to set up and start printing. B&H had the best price around. Fast delivery, and the packaging was very protective with plenty of padding.
